With the next local council elections shortly due to be held on Thursday May 6th, Reading East Conservative Association is fielding a full slate of 12 candidates who will be standing in the 11 Reading Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council wards across its area. A by-election is also being held in Peppard Ward in Caversham on the same day. Reading West Conservatives will similarly be fielding a full slate of 7 candidates in their area.
Additionally, Reading Conservatives will be supporting our colleague Matthew Barber, who is standing as the Tory candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner for the Thames Valley, also on May 6th.
These elections, as always, are extremely important in deciding the future direction of Reading and how the key decisions that impact everyone’s lives at the local level are taken; issues such as planning, the education of our children, elderly care, your bin collection and the maintenance and improvement of our town’s roads and transport infrastructure.
It is crucial to have Conservative-led councils that will provide effective governance, better financial management, responsible spending of your Council Tax on your behalf, proper consultation with residents and effective and efficient delivery of the local services that improve and enhance the lives of everyone.

All our candidates thank you in advance for your support!
